The Building & Grounds Committee of the Lawrence County Board has scheduled a special meeting to be held in the county board meeting room at the Lawrence County Courthouse on Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at 2:00pm.  The purpose of the meeting is to address an animal control personnel matter.  

The Jury set for Tuesday January 20th is confirmed.  All Jurors must report.

The State Board of Elections has published a notice so that the public can be aware that an election is scheduled (March 17, 2026) and what offices are slated to be contested. Any interested persons who might be seeking election should review the information so they can begin the process of circulating nominating petitions for the appropriate offices.
